8Th Graders going into 9th Grade

SPRING PRACTICES FOR GIRLS

JR HIGH GIRLS SPRING PRACTICES

GIRLS ONLY Junior High(4th-12th GRADE )

• Practice times: Monday & Wednesday 4:30-5:30pm
• First practice: February 22nd
• Last practice: April 19th
• Cost: $90
• USA membership card: All athletes must have a USA Card to participate. This card is an insurance card (see video to the right on how to purchase). We recommend you get the Full USA Card as you will need this to compete but you can get a limited USA Card if you will be practicing only.

HIGH SCHOOL GIRLS SPRING PRACTICES

These practices are run through the high school program.  They are held on early out Wednesdays.  The coach is Cody Burdett, the HS Girls Wrestling Coach.  

Practice Schedule:

April 19th: Practice 1-2pm

April 26th: Practice 1-2pm

 Below are the Jr High Girls Wrestling Practice times.  Starts November 1st!

• Monday: 7:35pm-8:35pm
• Wednesday: 7:35pm-8:35pm

Items Needed for Practice: workout shirt and shorts, wrestling shoes are optional but a good purchase when your wrestler has decided to commit to the sport.

We take new girl wrestlers and turn them into great wrestlers! Many of our girls have been offered college wrestling scholarships.

Girls ages 9th - 12th grade are eligible for the Girls High School team.  No experience is necessary!

Frequently Ask Questions

When is the Girls Wrestling Season?

The season starts in November and goes through the middle of February. There are also spring and summer practices and competitions for those who want to get better.

Do girls wrestle boys?

No. It's against the rules to wrestle boys. Only girls wrestle against girls!

Do I have to lose weight to wrestle?

No! I coach my girls to wrestle what they weigh. Sometimes girls will gain or lose weight during the season. That's okay!

How much does it cost to wrestle?

Wrestling is one of the cheapest high school sports. Average cost is between $200-$300 for the entire season. And we can fundraise most of that.

Can girls wrestle in college?

Yes! And they are giving out scholarships like crazy. There are around 100 women's wrestling programs in college and growing. And they all need more girls in their programs!
