Cost for all teams

Cost for all wrestlers is $115 for the fall season (September 2 - October 25).

All wrestlers must have a USA Card. You can purchase this card at www.usawmembership.com (there is a video on the home page of www.wlwrestling.com that explains how to do this if needed). This card is needed for practice and tournaments. This is an insurance card that covers the school, coaches and athletes. You can not purchase this card until August 25, 2023. Please put the Westlake Wrestling Club as your club.

To be on this team you must meet the following criteria:

1. Know and be able to do the following techniques:

• Cement job, cement mixer, snap down block go behind, push pull double leg, single leg (with power step), fireman's carry, stand up, quick granby, switch, sit out, bar arm, half and wrist, cradle

2. All 7th-12th grade wrestlers should be on this team plus younger athletes that are invited. If you are a new wrestler in the 7th-12th grade and want to be on this team please understand practices will be difficult but we will help you along the best we can. 

Practice times for the Junior High/High School Gold Team

This team is for those in 2nd-6th grade and are experienced wrestlers. Wrestlers that are younger than 2nd grade can be on this team but must have prior permission.

To be on this team you must meet the following criteria:

1. Know and be able to do the following techniques:

• Cement job, cement mixer, snap down block go behind, push pull double leg, single leg (with power step), fireman's carry, stand up, quick granby, switch, sit out, bar arm, half and wrist, cradle

2. Must be an experienced wrestler and be able to keep up in a fast pace practice environment. If you are on the Fall Gold Team that does not guarantee you will be on the Winter Gold Team. 

Practice times for the Elementary Gold Team

This team is for 1st-6th grade. No invitation required for this team

To be on this team you must meet the following criteria:

1. Know and be able to preform the following techniques (if you don't already know these please learn before practice):

• top starting position, double leg, sprawl, stance

Practice times for the Thunder Blue Team

• TBD

This team is for Prek-1st grade beginners. No invitation required for this team. This is an introductory wrestling class and parents are expected to be involved and help. This class will cost $80 for the Fall season.

To be on this team you must meet the following criteria:

1. Want to wrestle and have fun!

2. Must be at least 4 years old.
